This 1987 Topps “WWF Wrestling” Unopened Wax Box is in better than average condition and (more importantly) is a “Non-X-Out” box.

Finding this box both BBCE authenticated and without the black “X” or “slash” on the lid of the box is becoming a daunting task in today’s marketplace.

Many boxes from this release were initially returned to Topps by retailers (due to poor early sales results) in exchange for a future credit. Topps would then mark the lids of the boxes that were returned for a credit with an unsightly “X” or “slash” to protect themselves from multiple returns/credits on the same boxes.

Big hits in this series are Hulk Hogan and the RC of Bret “The Hitman” Hart.

To date there are no perfect Gem Mint PSA 10 graded Bret “The Hitman” Hart cards in PSA’s population report.
