The 1986 Donruss baseball checklist contains one of the most well known baseball cards in hobby history: Jose Canseco’s first stand alone rookie card.
Two years after the ’86 Donruss release, Jose Canseco hit 42 Home Runs and stole 40 bases to become MLB’s first ever “40-40” member and solidified “Rated Rookie” as the most recognizable sports card moniker in hobby history!

Other notable rookies from the series include MLB Hall of Fame slugger Fred McGriff, Yankee and Seinfeld fan favorite Paul O’Neill, Andres Galarraga, Cecil Fielder, and Vince Coleman.
